Diet tips

Dieting is such an important art of keeping healthy and in shape. People may find that snaking healthily difficult due to lack of time or experiences. So here is a few dieting tips that will help you to overcome finding it difficult to snake healthily. We probably snack more than we think. It is so easy to grab a bar of chocolate when your in a rush, its so important to try not to do that.  Too much sugary snack or salty snacks could lead to heart disease, diabetes or a stroke.  

Make sure you are having your meals this will mean you can go for longer throughout the day and means you don't have too snack as much.  

Drinking herbal teas can repress you hunger, boost your immune system and hydrate you. Herbal teas such as green tea is a great way of staying healthy all through your body. As we exercise we need protein to gain muscle, food that would be great for this would be meat and nuts...We also need to stay hydrated as we exercise green tea, smoothies and water are the best supplements.

You need to remember that having your 5 a day is so important! Changing a packet of sweets to suck on when you are feeling peckish you can change it for chunks of watermelon, strawberries, melon, apples...

  • Dry low fat cereal

  • Low fat yogurt 

  • Cut up fruit

  • Blended smoothies

  • Chopped apple with peanut butter

  • Frozen grapes, bananas, melon

Savory snacks...

  • Baked crisps

  • Mixed nuts

  • Sunflower seeds

  • Toasted brown bread 

  • Pitta bread in humus 

  • Rice cakes with cucumber 

  • Celery sticks with low fat dip

  • Corncakesor oatcakes

Snacking can be healthy too!

Packet of crisps-Nuts/baked crisps/kale crisps 

Bread sticks- Carrot sticks 

Sweets- Chopped up fruit 

Toast and  Peanut butternut- brown toast, tomato and guacamole

Ice cream- low fat greek yogurt
